The Spotlight is On: Caroline Bass

At Cien, we’re lucky to have a diverse, talented and passionate team! In this series, we meet a Cien team member to ask them what it’s like to work at an AI-first start up.

This week we meet Customer Success Intern Caroline Bass.

 

Where are you from, and what brought you to Barcelona?

I’m from Freeport, Texas. I attend school at the University of Texas at Austin. I came to Barcelona to study. I wanted to spend a semester working and studying abroad, and I was drawn to Barcelona. I love living here, and I’m glad I have had the opportunity to experience everything Barcelona has to offer.

 

Why did you join Cien?

I thought the idea of working for a tech startup was very interesting. I’d never worked for a startup before, and I found the opportunity exciting.

 

Describe your role in four words.

Keeping customers very satisfied.

 

What’s the best thing about your job?

I love the atmosphere at Cien and the people that I work with.

 

What have you learned since you’ve joined Cien?

I’ve learned a lot about sales and marketing since arriving at Cien. I’ve also been able to observe life at a startup, which is very fast paced and exciting. In addition, I’ve learned a lot about CRM and how to navigate Salesforce.

 

In your opinion, are the developments in AI going to take our jobs?

I think that AI has the potential to take some jobs, but I think that would be an interesting development to observe.

 

How do you apply the Cien core values in your day to day work?

Daily excellence is extremely important to me, as I strive to work diligently and to do everything with purpose in order to achieve positive results.
