The Spotlight is on: Åsa Isacson
At Cien, we’re lucky to have a diverse, talented and passionate team! In this series, we meet a Cien team member to ask them what it’s like to work at an AI-first start up.
This week we meet UX Developer Åsa Isacson.
Where are you from, and what brought you to Barcelona?
I am Swedish. I was working in Kenya for six years before moving to Barcelona, because I felt that it was time to come back to Europe.
Why did you join Cien?
I joined Cien, because I wanted to learn more about AI.
Describe your role in three words.
Analyze, innovate and implement.
What’s the best thing about your job?
I would have to say, seeing the whole process of the UI going from an idea to reality is fascinating to me.
What have you learned since you’ve joined Cien?
Loads. Oodles. I work on translating design to code, which means a constant process of investigation.
In your opinion, are the developments in AI going to take our jobs?
That’s like asking if knives will make chefs obsolete.
How do you apply the Cien core values in your day to day work?
I do my best to stay keen on the organization of tasks in order to follow things through and stay on point with priorities. As well as make sure we are all on the same page.
What is the best advice you have ever received?
Pants first, THEN shoes.
